Banking & money

You have two kinds of money on each character:

• Cash — physical money in your inventory. Carryable, droppable, robbable. If you're robbed or killed and someone searches your body, this is what they take.
• Bank balance — held in a Roleplay Project bank account. Untouchable by other players, but you have to actually go to an ATM or a bank to deposit/withdraw.

Cash + bank totals are visible on your phone (M → Wallet) and on /balance.

# ATMs

ATMs are scattered across Los Santos — outside 24/7 stores, banks, gas stations, casinos, hospitals. Walk up to one and press E.

Action	Notes
Deposit	Move cash → bank. No fee.
Withdraw	Move bank → cash. No fee.
Transfer	Send to another character's account number. Small flat fee. Receiver's name is verified before you confirm.
Check balance	View cash and bank totals.

Transfers require the recipient's account number — that's the long number on the recipient's banking app, not their character name. They can show it to you in /me, or you can grab it from the bank's directory if they've made it public.

# Transfer safety

Every transfer logs:

• Source character + account.
• Recipient character + account.
• Amount.
• Optional reference / note.
• Timestamp + ATM/branch.

Logged in your transaction history in the phone banking app for 90 days. If a transfer was scammed, an admin can see who sent what — but we don't reverse legitimate transfers even if you regret one. Be careful.

# Robbery

If you're robbed at gunpoint, the robber can take cash on hand only. Bank money is untouchable. That said:

• Don't carry life-changing amounts of cash unless you have a reason. Move it to bank ASAP.
• Cash piles in safes / properties are not bank money — those can be stolen during a property break-in.
• Vehicles' glove-box money is not protected either.

# Death

If you die (CK or PK), bank balance carries to your next character if you got CK'd cleanly with admin sign-off. PK deaths don't transfer money — that's a regular respawn, not character death.

# Common questions

Why do my deposits sometimes fail?

Insufficient cash on hand at the moment of deposit. Multiple attempts in quick succession can also race; the server uses an atomic check so a concurrent deposit will reject one of them rather than allow a duplicate.

Can I have multiple accounts?

One primary account per character. Some businesses and factions have their own treasury accounts; ask your faction lead about access.

What's the difference between /balance and the phone app?

Same numbers, different surfaces. The phone shows transaction history too; /balance is a quick chat-line readout.
