Gym & Fitness

Building strength and stamina at the gym — what each exercise does, how progress works, and where the buffs apply.

The gym is a slow-burn stat-builder. Hours put in raise three independent stats — Strength, Stamina, and Endurance — that affect a handful of mechanical interactions.

Where to train

Two main locations:

  • Muscle Sands (Vespucci Beach) — outdoor, the iconic GTA V calisthenics park.
  • Vinewood Gym — indoor, full equipment.

Both have the same exercise set; aesthetic only.

Exercises

Equipment Stat Per session
Bench press Strength +1 over ~30 reps
Squat rack Strength +1 over ~30 reps
Pull-up bar Endurance +1 per set
Dip bar Endurance +1 per set
Treadmill Stamina +1 per minute, capped at 5/session
Heavy bag Strength + Stamina Slower gains, two-stat
Skipping rope Stamina +1 per minute

You walk up to the equipment marker, press E to start, the exercise plays an animation, and you can stop any time.

Note

The cap is per session (10 min real time after entering the gym). Leaving and re-entering reset the cap, but the longer you stay logged in the harder progressively each rep gets — the server fights infinite-grind.

Stat caps and tiers

Each stat tops out at 100. Stat tiers:

Stat Effect at 100
Strength +25% punch damage, can break out of cuffs faster
Endurance +30% melee/punch endurance, less stamina drain on lift-and-carry
Stamina +40% sprint duration before slowdown

Strength and Endurance contribute to fistfighting outcomes. Stamina governs sprinting and swimming.

Visible changes

At Strength 75+, you can pick the "Muscular" body preset at any plastic surgeon. The stat doesn't auto-update your body — you have to visit the surgeon to see the change.

Tip

Stats decay slowly with disuse — about 1 point per real-life week without gym time. Login regularly even for a single set if you want to maintain.

Buffs and food

Pre-workout supplements (sold at convenience stores) give a temporary +20% stat gain rate for 30 minutes. Stack with a protein shake from the gym vending machine for a small additional bump.

Important

Buffs from supplements don't change the per-session cap. They just front-load the gains.
