We're moving to FiveM.

RAGEMP, the platform we've spent the last year building on, has announced its closure. We've already begun moving the entire Roleplay Project server over to FiveM, and to do this properly we're pushing launch back by one month. Your account, your application, your RPP+, your Project Points, your characters. All carry across. Nothing resets.

As many of you have been aware, and we've updated you above, we had the same news that RAGEMP was closing. Thanks to some prior warning from another large community owner we had an idea this may be happening, but not this soon. As a result, we've automatically begun transferring everything over to FiveM. There are many systems that were easy to transfer, but some that have taken considerable time.

I originally was incredibly confident with this change, the switch over to FiveM should not be complicated, and it isn't. It is just a lot of manual faff and labour.

I currently have limited time; I am due to fly out soon for a business trip, and @Java on top of this maintains a full-time job, leaving @fatcattuxedo as the only solo dev while we've been busy. It is not fair to leave the entire server launch on one person. Nor do we as a Development Team feel confident in launching something we are not 100% happy with. I hate, and I want you to know this, absolutely hate delaying things. As many of you who know me, including admins, I would do anything, including hiring another 5–10 developers to bring the server up to speed so we could launch on the original date. But it really is not that simple.

As a result of this, and to be fair, to give us time to bug-fix now we've moved to FiveM and subject to this news being randomly sprung on us, RPP will now launch on:

3rd July 2026.

This is a month extension. We are happy with this, and it allows us time to ensure the experience you get is the best we can give you.

However, do not panic. This does not mean you cannot connect to the server in the meantime, create accounts, characters, etc. Similar to our last RAGEMP dev cycle, we allowed players test periods every Friday. These will continue.

Friday playtests resume on FiveM

Open-to-everyone test sessions every Friday in the lead-up to launch. The first FiveM playtest is scheduled for 12 June 2026. We expect the server to be launch-ready before 3 July. The extra time is buffer for bug-fixing, not a hard deadline.

What carries over

The move is a platform change, not a project restart. Every piece of progress, every paid extra, every administrative record on your account survives intact.
