What it is

Autumn Harvest is a season-long game that lives on the control panel. You plant crops on your plots, they grow in real time, and you come back to collect them for bushels. Bushels buy upgrades, extra plots, and farmhands.

It runs until 30 September. Whoever is highest on the leaderboard when the season closes earns project points.

Farmhands keep working while you are away

The part that makes it worth checking is the farmhands. Hire a gleaner and they bring in a trickle. Work up through pony carts and windmills to a cider press, and eventually a whole orchard estate. They earn while your tab is shut, up to eight hours between visits, so you come back to a pile rather than an empty field.

Tending, and why clicking fast does nothing

There is a tap target on the orchard screen. Tending spends energy, and energy refills on a timer. That means a tap claims value the clock already earned, rather than creating it.

We built it that way on purpose. The leaderboard pays out real project points, so if clicking quickly earned more, the top of the board would just be whoever left a script running overnight. It would not be a contest. With energy in the way, someone hammering the button all night collects exactly what you collect in a handful of taps.

Golden Pumpkins

Every so often a Golden Pumpkin turns up on your farm. Claim it for a chunk of bushels and half an energy refill. Whether one appears is fixed per hour, so refreshing the page will not conjure one up.

It works on a phone

The whole thing is built for a small screen. Check it on a break, plant something long before bed, collect in the morning.

You start with two plots and a field to tend. Everything after that you earn.
